OnePlus is preparing for the launch of its first foldable smartphone, the OnePlus Open, in India. Initially, the device will be introduced in the Chinese market under the name Oppo Find N3. Leading up to its release, there have been multiple leaks showcasing its design and specifications. Recently, a hands-on video of the OnePlus Open surfaced online, providing a first glimpse of its primary display. The video reveals a design similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, featuring a discreet display crease and a hole-punch cutout.
A YouTube channel called Jagat Review shared a hands-on video of the upcoming OnePlus Open, also known as the Oppo Find N3. The video offers a close-up view of the device, which is a book-style foldable smartphone. Its design language appears to be influenced by the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Pixel Fold, and last year’s Oppo Find N2. The upcoming handset boasts a wider display both on the inside and outside, with a barely noticeable crease. Unlike recent book-style foldables, the crease on the OnePlus Open’s display is minimal.
The video also highlights the presence of an Alert slider and an infrared remote blaster on the OnePlus Open. Additionally, a hole-punch cutout is visible on the display, serving as a front camera housing. These design elements align with previous leaks. However, the camera island remains hidden in the video.
The OnePlus Open is expected to launch on October 19. It recently appeared on Geekbench with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and 12GB of RAM. The device is anticipated to run on the Android 13 operating system.
According to previous leaks, the OnePlus Open will feature a 7.82-inch OLED inner display with a resolution of 2,268 x 2,440 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will also have a 6.31-inch OLED outer screen with a resolution of 1,116 x 2,484 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is rumored to house a triple rear camera setup, consisting of a 48-megapixel primary camera, a 48-megapixel secondary camera, and a 64-megapixel telephoto camera. The front camera is expected to be either 32 megapixels or 20 megapixels. Additionally, the OnePlus Open is said to have a 4,805mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging.
