What to Expect from CES 2024: The Ultimate Tech Show

Posted on January 10, 2024January 10, 2024 by Anuja Desai

CES 2024, the annual tech show, is just around the corner and tech enthusiasts can’t contain their excitement. This multi-day event showcases the latest advancements and gadgets in various industries, including personal tech, transportation, and healthcare, with a significant presence of artificial intelligence.

Billed as the world’s largest audited tech event by the Consumer Technology Association, CES aims to attract around 130,000 attendees. The event will feature over 4,000 exhibitors, including more than 1,200 startups, spread across a whopping 2.5 million net square feet of exhibit space.

Although these numbers are lower compared to pre-pandemic years, the anticipated attendance for 2024 is expected to exceed that of 2023. This renewed interest can be attributed to the post-COVID era and the overwhelming support from CEOs worldwide.

Some of the biggest names in tech, automakers, and cosmetics brands are set to showcase their latest innovations at CES 2024. Companies like Amazon, Google, Honda, Mercedes-Benz, and L’Oreal will be present, demonstrating their commitment to technological advancements. Additionally, the show will highlight the partnership between the Consumer Technology Association and the United Nations Human Security for All campaign, which recently added technology as its eighth pillar of focus.

CES will kick off with two days of media previews, followed by the main event running from Tuesday to Friday. Although the show is not open to the general public, it serves as a crucial business-to-business platform for industry professionals to network and collaborate.

Gary Shapiro, the president and CEO of the Consumer Technology Association, sheds light on the overall theme of CES 2024—sustainability and the U.N.’s human securities. This year’s focus includes clean air, clean water, food, healthcare, and the newly added pillar, technology itself. The show seeks to raise awareness and provide solutions to address these crucial human securities.

As we navigate the post-COVID world, exhibiting companies at CES 2024 will showcase innovations in mobility and healthcare. With an aging population and a scarcity of caregivers, technology plays a vital role in providing effective solutions. Trade shows like CES have gained even more significance for business leaders as they understand the value of face-to-face interactions and relationship-building. On average, attendees at CES have 29 different meetings, making it an efficient platform for networking.

Moreover, CES offers something that cannot be replicated online—serendipity. The show provides opportunities for discovery, learning, and inspiration. Many individuals who attend CES come back optimistic about the world and energized with numerous ideas. This spirit of innovation will drive us forward into a promising future, and CES aims to gather the world’s innovators to fuel this progress.

With CES 2024 right around the corner, tech enthusiasts and industry professionals are eagerly anticipating the groundbreaking innovations and solutions that will be showcased. From sustainability to healthcare advancements, CES promises to be a platform for pushing the boundaries of technology and inspiring positive change.
